you have to be here in person to get an idea of how deep
this hole truly is. pictures don't seem to capture it.
it seems like they're digging to China.

You guys think that it will be like aura where the people in the lower floors move in while the building is still under construction or wait until the entire building is done like ICE?

fyi - if anyone is wondering why this excavation is moving so quickly is due to the fact the lane closure on Harbour (which is where their underground is located - yes within the citys row) has to be given back for the spring-ish, in time for the pan am games. Expect this building to be @ grade or higher come spring 2015.

Currently people are moving into Ice 1 up to floor 29, units on floor 30 to the top are still under construction with units on the higher floors still mostly unfinished.

I'm sure this will also be the case at 10 York as well. Most tall condos work this way, fill from the bottom while still finishing the top.

It was more noticeable in Aura as it hadn't actually topped out when they started moving in the lower floors.

Given Aura's size it may have had a mid-level mechanical floor, that allowed lower units to be fully functional prior to the mechanical level on the roof being finished.
