I wonder if these subsequent phases will also feature the bridge?

Overall, this project looks quite impressive.

Post Homes Spring 2008 Edition has a 2 page Pier 27 AD. Supposedly, the newly constructed Sales Office is now open, complete with model suite.

And there's mention of retail space on the ground floor which should make some people in this forum, happy. It will be interesting to know where they will put the retail space, and what stores will be there.

Most likely the retail spaces will be on the the north end of the subsequent phases, fronting directly onto Queen's Quay. The rest of the ground floor spaces seem to be taken up by townhomes.

I thought those townhomes were expensive until reading in today's paper that new condos east of downtown's about $436 per sf; $491 in downtown west, and $674 in the downtown core. $350 per sf will only get you a new unit in the low-end developments (?) ;(

And in the Bloor/Yorkville area the condos are commanding $1,282 per square foot. That's almost 1 Million for a 750 sf condo with a locker, but no parking space and no waterfront ;)

sales started a long time ago and the agents have been informing purchasers that construction would be starting on phase 1 and 2 (at the same time) this spring.

Ok, but if you look at posts not more than a month old, you can clearly see that the sales center is not even complete. Why would they bother to erect one, just to take it down in a couple of months? These things are meant to be there awhile, especially one so elaborate.

The sales centre could be for the future phases. If I recall the sales centre for the first 2 phases was a temporary building (trailer or tent?).

^ exactly. There was an older sales center that was demolished. The new one is out of the way of Phase 1's construction zone.

The above info's wrong. As of yesterday, the Sales Office is still under construction, although it seems almost finished.

Incidentally, in Friday's National Post, Pier 27's shown as WATERLINK AT PIER 27.
