The project looks more dated than the Met across the street.
There is a huge architectural differences too, the Met blows away YC-condos
 
If the intent was to tie in the base of this building with the adjacent Odd Fellows Hall, couldn't they have at least used some brick? That would have saved us the sight of this mullion mess of a podium. I'll say at least the orange is the right hue but that's pretty much it

You are assuming that they cared about tying it with anything in a competent manner.
