Any rumours of production car #26 (4427/4402/whatever) peeking out at TB?
They are supposed to be here this month sometime.

This still leaves 4428, 4429 and 4430 to be here next months to meet the promises 30 cars for this year.

Unless Thunder Bay is not stop working over the Christmas week, getting a car a week in Dec not going to happen at the rate things have been so far.

TTC having 30 cars in service by year end, not going to happen.

Hopefully the last hurrah deliveries this year would be better than last year. 4416 being delivered late December last year didn't enter service till February 2016.

BBD should know by now if they'll make 30 deliveries or not.

Wow that's crazy how did they tow it with a truck missing from it? Do you have pictures of it?

4138 donated and swapped a truck with 4130 which had a seized axle in its rear truck. That's an emergency dolly truck used to move cars when there's a broken or seized axle.

Interesting that the ad people put a fresh ad on the side of it though!

Bombardier cannot and has not made any promises about TTC cars in service; their target is deliveries.

It looks like they'll be very close to their in-house delivery target numbers (clearly not what TTC would like but for Bombardier only the contract completion date matters at this point).

I thought their target was shipments at Thunder Bay.
Even if the 30 delivered figure is accepted (the "in service" is only noted in the linked Star piece above and not elsewhere) that implies shipped-1 in service (29) given previous delivery tempo. But we're not gonna see that either. Wonder what life is like for the TTC production supervisors these days up on Lake Superior. Chilly and not just the weather, I reckon.

At the end of the day, Bombardier doesn't care. Bombardier has Queen's Park, Ottawa, and Quebec City by the balls...........don't buy our products and we will start closing plants.

Bombardier is still getting orders for their rail products. It's only LRVs in North America that's having assembly line issues. Bombardier haven't done a thing in the last 5 years till early this year. Still it's taking a long time to change production lines around. Bombardier don't plan to speed up production this year.

I'm getting pretty sick of saying this.
There are only 17 new streetcars out right now and it is pretty much peak period.
14 on 510, 2 on 509 and 1 on 514.
Doesn't the TTC have 25 of these now? Where are these 8 cars:
4408
4410
4411
4412
4415
4416
4420
4423
????

(corrected to remove 4401)

4401 is not a TTC car, but a BBD until it rebuilt

TTC has 4403-4426 at this time in service. Don't forget, 15% of the fleet is class as spares to cover the ones that needs service on them from time to time. From time to time, all cars maybe out, but not all the time.

TTC didn't schedule to have more cars in service. I suspect it will cut down on employee hours spent travelling to Leslie and lower electricity cost considering lower ridership than expected.

The only one on the 514 (4404) is short turning at Charlotte loop. How great.

It was 14 on 510 (i.e. all), 3 on 509 and 2 on 514 a couple of times last week. i.e. 19 of the then available 24 cars. Which is a pretty acceptable ratio.

Not sure why it's been only 17 of 25 this week. Presumably there are vehicle issues. C'est la vie ...
