I see that the desaturation of Toronto's streetscapes continues in that rendering of the new streetcar. All silver with just a hint of red, the new streetcar will go nicely with the sea of grey street furniture.

To be honest, I never really noticed it anyway.I hope the lack of a centre headlight is unofficial as well. It looks so naked without one.
Hey, I like the old colour scheme and think it could work, but then again, I'd prefer some sort of update for the 21st century too.Has anyone tried creating an image of what the CLRVs would look like with the old-style paint colours, or the Flexity cars? I doubt it would fit well, but I'm willing to be proven wrong.

Agreed. While I love maroon-and-cream for its history, it won't work on such a modern-looking vehicle. The colour doesn't look right on the car in my opinion anyways.

Agreed. And, frankly, I think maroon-and-cream screams 'TTC' only to transit geeks; for most Torontonians the red-and-white is much more 'iconic.'
