Portion of TTC Line 1 to close early Sun-Wed

The portion of TTC's Line 1 between Finch and Lawrence stations will close at 11 p.m. nightly from Sun., Mar. 10 through Wed., Mar. 13. The early closures will enable the TTC to perform vital track maintenance and upgrades.
Shuttle buses will run and Wheel-Trans will provide service to customers requiring accessible connections. Customers who require an accessible connection should use Finch and York Mills stations as Lawrence Station is not yet accessible.
North York Centre Station will close at 11 p.m. but all other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes. At Finch and Lawrence stations, shuttles will load and offload inside the station. At North York Centre, shuttles will load and offload southbound at Yonge St. and Park Home Ave. and northbound at Yonge St. and Empress Ave. At Sheppard, shuttles will load and offload north of Sheppard Ave. on Yonge St. At York Mills, shuttles will load and offload on Yonge St. north of Wilson Ave./York Mills Rd.
Also, this Sun., Mar. 10 is the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Starting at 11 a.m., service on the 5 Avenue Rd, 6 Bay and 501 Queen will be on diversion. Service on the 94A Wellesley route will begin diverting at 8 a.m. Routes will divert as follows:
5 AVENUE RD:
SOUTHBOUND: From Avenue Rd., west on Davenport Rd., west on Dupont St., south on St. George St., east on Prince Arthur Ave. to St George Station.
NORTHBOUND: From St. George Station, north on Bedford Ave., west on Prince Arthur Ave., north on St. George St., east on Dupont St., southeast on Davenport Rd., north on Avenue Rd. to route.
6 BAY:
SOUTHBOUND: From Davenport Rd., east/south on Church St., west on Richmond St., south on Bay St. to route.
NORTHBOUND: From Bay St., east on Adelaide St., north on Church St., west/north on Davenport Rd. to route.
94A WELLESLEY:
*this route will be on diversion beginning at 8 a.m.
WESTBOUND: From Wellesley St. W., north on Queens Park Circle E., south on Queens Park Circle W., west on College St., north on Spadina Ave., west on Harbord St. to route.
EASTBOUND: From Harbord St., south on Spadina Ave., east on College St., north on Queens Park Cres. E., east on Wellesley St. W. to route.
501 QUEEN:
BOTH WAYS: Via Queen St. W., Spadina Ave., King St. W., King St. E., Church St., Queen St. E.
Finally, the TTC would like to remind customers that there will be free service on the 501 Queen and 504 King routes from 4 p.m. on Sun., Mar. 17 - 2:30 a.m on Mon., Mar. 18 to provide Torontonians with safe rides to and from their St. Patrick's Day festivities.
Fare boxes on streetcars will be covered, as will PRESTO card readers. Customers connecting to the subway or another route from the 501 or 504 must pay their fare when entering or boarding at their transfer point.
