Looks like we won’t exceed 10° at all this month. This may be the first November in my 11 Novembers here that this has happened.

Sort of balances an above average October. I am just glad that we are above zero for a long stretch to finish the month. That few days of -20 was a rude awakening.

My wife said her mother was moving in, so I promised I'd build a mother-in-law suite
A couple of winters back, we had a bobcat living in the Igloo....so technically it can be used a a secondary suite.

While many New Yorkers tried to stay warm during this the Jonas blizzard, a few Brooklyn residents made an igloo in their backyard and listed it on Airbnb.

I spoke far too soon. 3 days above 10.0° and one day at 9.3° since I posted that message haha! Well it’s nice to clear some of that dirt covered snow away before the next deep-freeze sets in on Monday.

Was a nice little break, tomorrow looks quite cold, then back to more seasonal for the rest of the week. Winter has been quite the rollercoaster ride so far this year!

Pretty cool that the forecast was for 1° and it’s already 4. Having worked outside in the Antarctic cold and snow of the last couple days, this is bliss.
Also kinda neat, there’s an ice jam that’s formed on the Bow just past the forks at St Patrick’s Island. Haven’t seen that before.

It’s over now. Water level at SPI has dropped by two feet in a matter of minutes.
