Apologies as I'm sure if I read back through all the previous pages this has been rehashed to death several times before... but wow is this project ever disappointing. In the context of my long hiatus from this site and keeping up with Toronto's architecture, in coming back now this is easily...

So the new tower is going ahead? Pity.

That's not setting a very high bar.

Logistical screw up? One thing holding up a bunch of others. Not sure how common it is in construction but I see it all the time.

Why would they fight this? To create the illusion of earning a paycheck? Honestly, what are the issues, are these employment lands?

As far as mechanical integration goes, this is above most. Take a glance out of any window in this city above 30 storeys and you'll agree. All around great building.

I don't see what you're complaining about, look great.

It's not very ornate, but that we're losing this kind of detailed masonry all the time and not putting up anything new makes every loss a bit disheartening.

Doesn't look like a human sized hole. I'd bet someone probably bumped into it on accident.

I assume that's just for the retail? Speaking of which, walked through it this past Saturday to check it out for myself. BB&B has a terrible layout, it's like a maze. And they might as well have put it in the basement since not a single pane of glass seems to be free of merchandize cluttered in...

This is going to be quite the Frankenstein('s monster).

Well no not quite. It's not as simple as crossing the street since there isn't one on the other side. As a pedestrian you simply can't get from Bay to York along Harbour. You either have to walk up to Lakeshore and use the path right against the ACC (because there's no southern sidewalk on...

The materials on the office building/hotel are sh*t but I'm quite drawn to the massing. It's certainly unique.

I find it a bit ridiculous that all of the sidewalks abutting this site are closed. It's a pedestrian dead-zone down there now. Not that it was particularly lively with just the parking lot or the Workmen's Comp. building before that, but still.
