The mistake of letting ROCP appear behind the Old City Hall tower from Bay Street. This new tower could help camouflage it from view.

If it were to be glassy and highly reflective, à la Bay Adelaide with its sky scenes, it could potentially correct the mistake made with ROCP.

The facets should appear to be more exaggerated on the top most part of the building and should be where they'll have most of their impact.

From the backgrounder: Sounds like there will be more to the Yonge façade than shown in the renderings.

Tall Buildings: Inviting Change in Downtown Toronto

Not quite sure if this is the proper category to post this... (from the March 25th NRU) The city is looking for feedback on improving quality of life in the downtown area with the introduction of new regulations concerning tall buildings. Three public meetings will be held between 6:30 and...

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway Extension or Sheppard Crosstown LRT?

Extend the subway to Consumers Road now and finish it to SCC at a later date.

First time I notice the angle of the eastern façade. Also what appear to be tiny balconies.

I think so too. I wish there was a little more variety in materials.

I agree. Furthermore, I think a sports field opening up onto Bloor (of all streets) is bizarre, to say the least.

The 1000 de la Gauchetiere in Montreal, also owned by SITQ, has a bus terminal in its base. It's a fantastic concept and functions very efficiently. A huge number of busses pop in and out of the terminus with very little disruption to activities on the surface and is easily accessed by other...
