    What Toronto street is this?

    The new Simcoe street underpass?

    Toronto Toronto | QRC West (Queen Richmond Centre West) | 71.93m | 17s | Allied | Sweeny &Co

It's true that tonnes of people will see this building from Queen, but I think the most important side of this one is the east. It is a view terminus of Richmond and all.

Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

I find it interesting how much the Scotia bank logo has changed. I barely recognized it in that "then" photo of Yonge looking NW towards Adelaide. Ps, big fan of this thread Mustapha.

    Simcoe St. Underpass & Extension

They changed every address number on Yonge st? That would have been quite the task...

    Richmond Hill

One thing you might want to consider, you will probably need a car if you decide to live out there. It's very suburban. There are a lot of neighbourhoods in Toronto proper that are very dog, and pedestrian friendly. The Beaches, High Park, even Rosedale depending on how much quid you have...

    750 Lake Shore Blvd. E. (Urbacon, 1s, ?) COMPLETE

I do hope you're right, and the horrible state of Lake Shore blvd out there doesn't infect the East Bay Front, and other developments happening to the west.

    750 Lake Shore Blvd. E. (Urbacon, 1s, ?) COMPLETE

It is a pretty facade, but this building isn't very urban. Low rise, Scarborough style front yard parking... Is this the kind of thing we have to look forward to along our "grand boulevard", as they tear down the Gardiner?

Shops at Don Mills (redevelopment, Giannone Petricone/Pellow + Associates )

In neighbourhoods, people live on public streets, above shops that exist in pieces of architecture. There are residential streets that feed into main streets. This area is an outdoor mall that people will visit, not live. Nothing wrong with that, it just ain't Yorkville or the Beaches.

    Toronto Toronto | Velocity at the Square | 122.52m | 40s | HNR | P + S / IBI

Indeed. My vote for category A, the DVP and the 401. Category B, Yonge and Dundas for sure.

Head of Slips (Waterfront Toronto, West 8/DTAH)

Let's not argue about the number of skate parks in downtown Toronto. Let's just say it would be cool if Waterfront Toronto built one, on the waterfront. It would be a cool spectacle for tourists. Anywho, about the decks. What exactly are we supposed to do on them? Those railings kind of get...

Head of Slips (Waterfront Toronto, West 8/DTAH)

Right, smooth, kind of like those railings they just installed... Maybe I'm wrong I'm no Tony Hawk. (Is he still relevant?). I'm sure you're far more aware of what makes a good rail slide, but my point was not to suggest this was a good skateboarding destination. I was trying to use sarcasm...

Head of Slips (Waterfront Toronto, West 8/DTAH)

Very nice of the city to create this cool skate park for the young skateboard enthusiasts, and right on the waterfront too!

Questions about potential locales for a series of comic stories.

Like Prosperegal said, all the fancy schools are north of Bloor, so the CN tower could be in the background, it would just be smaller looking. I wonder, does it need to be a private school? The Esplanade is very close to Bay and Front, and there are some more down to earth schools in that...

    Toronto Toronto | Boutique Condos | 106.37m | 35s | Urban Capital | ZAS Architects

I do like narrow streets as well. I just think this neighbourhood lacks greenery, and I figure the only way to get trees in there is to widen the sidewalks. Although they could make this street a little greener by growing ivy on that orange brick.

    Toronto Toronto | Boutique Condos | 106.37m | 35s | Urban Capital | ZAS Architects

I wonder what it would take to get the sidewalks widened on a street like this. I realize it would be more difficult on a thoroughfare, like Adelaide, but if this is going to turn out to be basically a residential street it would be nice to have it tree lined. Maybe they could ask the team...

    Toronto Toronto | Glasshouse Lofts | ?m | 12s | Glass House Development | Karl Fischer

As long as they are interesting advertisements I think it's cool, no? I wouldn't want to see a giant BJL billboard up there, but that City tv truck smashing out the side of 299 Queen is iconic. The Paul Willison Motors swinging lady is another example... something to that effect up there could...

    Toronto Toronto | Glasshouse Lofts | ?m | 12s | Glass House Development | Karl Fischer

Maybe they could paint a giant Coca Cola advert on the sketchy side of this thing. In 20 years it'll look "vintage".

TCHC: 88-90 Carlton (12s, Stanford Downey)

I think this building is a good example of how a slab can work if it's placed well. That facade looks like a fake beard, or one of those mustache, nose, and glasses masks.

    Toronto Toronto | Telus House - 25 York Street | 136.24m | 30s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

The windows make cool reflections on York in that 3rd shot of S&M's.
