Just about gone now! A large stretch of scaffolding is now up over the Yonge St sidewalk. Demolition should be imminent for the rest of the property soon.

This evening I saw first sign of the dark cladding we should expect to see.

Wow, that angle really makes it look tall and slender like Ice! The previous renders looking up from ground level made it seem a bit wider.

I was in New York last week and this design reminds me a bit of the Gehry design for the IAC building I spotted while walking the High Line: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAC_Building My first thought was there's no reason why we can't have such sculptural mid-rise designs back home.
