    Restaurant Comings & Goings

It was family owned. Santos Place just east of the mall was another one.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Good memory, the Cedarbrae restaurant was a cafeteria in the 70’s with a steakhouse next door. I ate many meals there.

thanks for your reply.....If they released upper floor two bdrms last September, I doubt any will be up for sale on registration.

The common areas look great and peaked my curiosity to look at a few units. I looked at a SE corner unit (approx 1400 sq ft) a few weeks back and really liked the layout and finishes (except kitchen cabinets). Once this building registers, I will be actively looking for a 2 bd on the upper...

will the cardio equipment stay where it is? weights and gym equipment move to the room under construction? If so, that will be a decent set up. Does the building have direct garage access from the main elevators or a second elevator required to access the parking garage?

Looking at buying a unit once building registers. Was there last Friday looking at some of the rentals. The finishes and layouts are very good (floors, appliances, and washrooms) and noticed unit on the 45th floor had 10ft ceilings. Windows frames and kitchen cabinets not so good. The gym...

L Tower Condos (Cityzen, Castlepoint Realty, Fernbrook Homes) - Real Estate -

This building was registered in late 2015 so I don't understand your comment about 4 years. The four seasons gets press for windows falling, TIFF gets press for balcony glass falling, Shangdi-la gets press for windows panes falling, Trump gets press for falling glass. The RITZ took 6 years to...

Insurance adjuster will be meeting with property manager in the first week of January. Damage to amenities didn't look too bad. The hardwood has been ripped out of the living room, party room and kitchen area. Only partial ceilings removed. It looks like only half the gym was affected and...

Yes there was a flood, a sprinkler in the hydro vault broke on the 4th floor and there is water damage from the 4th floor to the B3. The elevators were down for less than 24 hours and property managers and contractors are doing a great job to get the building back to how it was prior to the...

Why did the market crash in the 80s?

Real estate collapsed because the Bank of Canada governer John Crow raised short term interest rates to bring inflation down to his 2% target. He achieved this eventually but the economy suffered a made in Canada recession at the time (manufacturing took a big hit) and the real estate market...

Rate this floorplan: X2 Condos - Hayes

Pocket doors would be very expensive as an upgrade and doubtful it would be offered as an upgrade. The Ritz uses a pocket door in their master washroom to separate the toilette from the rest of the washroom.

    Berczy - Layout Options

Too bad! The island in option C looked incredible. In fact, a friend in X has a linear kitchen and had a custom island built that runs the length of the kitchen. It looks fantastic...fortunately there is enough room for formal dining as well.

    Berczy - Layout Options

I think C looks the best and went with an island option in my current condo. The unit is up for sale and the biggest concern from buyer's is no room for a dining table. I guess people still do the formal dining.

    The Lifestyle Shop

I actually bought the bed from Positive Space last June. They have a showroom in Mississauga with all their beds on display. My bed with taxes was $3,800 which included the attached nightstands. The construction is excellent and assembles rather easily and quickly.

    Condo Upgrades

Most builder upgrades are a rip off. You can probably do it much cheaper afterwards but you will have to deal with the countertop as well. I reasoned it wasn't worth the hassle and the standard sink was very cheap and ugly. Good luck with your choice.

    Condo Upgrades

I did and the amount depends on the type of sink. My builder only offered one from Blanco (10U maxi) and it was expensive ($2200 I think). I didn't have much of a choice because I upgraded the counters as well.

    Toronto Toronto | Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto | 207.86m | 53s | Graywood | Kohn Pedersen Fox

I was up there yesterday and the sky lobby is still unfinished, however further ahead than they were two weeks ago. The spa, pool, gym, and other amenities on the 5th floor are complete and look spectacular. The angled glass from the south is noticeable from inside the unit and looks great...

Your lawyer should have the statement of adjustments or at the very least be in touch with the builder. Blame your lawyer! My closing is scheduled for this Thursday and my lawyer had the adjustments from the builder's site last week (I believe your lawyer should be able to download from the...

If you call the builder they will send it to you by email or fax. The original letters were specific to each unit. The charges for blinds were different for each type of unit in the building. If you are referring to the follow up letter from the builder. It was there response to my original...
