There are some saying that all this grey spandrel was in the renders....but I don't see it, at least not in the podium. Are they still planning to do the red glass (or spandrel?) in the podium? At this point I don't know if that would make things better or worse.

It really seems like we ended up with the most boring version of the tower, unfortunately. The one on the right looks really interesting - the exoskeleton is more of a web and it really draws you in, visually.

I have to disagree here. I think that Canadian Targets have some problems, chiefly in controlling inventory, but generally I find the prices competitive. That is, competitive compared to other places to shop in Toronto: I don't have a car and would never have gone to Buffalo to shop at Target...
