The Yonge Street frontage is horrible. To make matters worse, according to local councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam, the retail stores are buried in the basement. Instead, there will be an entrance & a set of stairs facing the Yonge Street side that will lead you downstairs.

It will take 30 - 35 years for the density of VMC to match that of North York City Centre. Heck, it took that same amount of time for NCC to develop after the construction of the North York Civic Centre. Meanwhile, inner Toronto ends up subsidizing the operating cost of maintaining this line...

The renovation turned out great. The mall really needed a major facelift as it was starting to show it's age. This was one of the last malls in the GTA that never got a total redo. It's much brighter inside & I love the new colourful seats in the aisleways.
