And O'Keefe Centre.

Speaking of, and in keeping with deepend's affection for themed collections:

October 1, 1960....opening night of O'Keefe Centre, premiere of "Camelot" with Richard Burton and Julie Andrew....attended by tout le Toronto....in case you were wondering why your mother (and grandmother) had a fur stole...a glimpse of Toronto during the "Mad Men" era (and no, I don't believe Diane Arbus was the photographer):

Weegee

I think those photos are more like the work of Weegee than Diane Arbus.

The clothes: No doubt inspired by Flower Drum Song, which opened on Broadway that year.

The hair: An homage to Ayn Rand?

Woman #1: "That floosie at the store told me I looked good!"

Woman #2: "Oh, dear, I told you to wear your mink!"
