Interesting story in the Globe and Mail. Its reporting on the ongoing inquest into what went wrong in Quebec's long term care facilities in the early day's of the pandemic (up to May 1st, 2020)

Of note is that this story looks at Montreal Chinese Hospital which had zero cases of Covid in the applicable period, and overall, only 4 through the entire pandemic.

A great deal of their success seems attributable to Chinese staff who were familiar w/the unfolding situation in China before any concerns were widely public here (January 2020 or even earlier).

Those staff, of their own accord, wanted to wear masks, and other PPE. Hospital administration allowed this, with staff using their own PPE in most cases, throughout those first months.

I am just seeing this now. Is it too late to join 🤣 somehow, I don’t think there are a lot of participants.

Vaccine mandates for workers might have seen as a good idea. But a minority will always be against it and will sacrifice their jobs for it. If being tested every two days works, as the cases don't rise up. Well be it.
