Ford has stated he'll quickly repeal the sex ed curriculum, which is worrying. What will it be replaced with? The previous 1998 version?

Correct until a new one can be crafted with "appropriate input from parents" this time.

In the grand scheme of things most parents are fine with it, and it's necessary for today's world.
1898. The question is where they will build the asylums for women.

Now that is a piece of propaganda... have you read the curriculum?

That doesn't bode well for students over the next four years - and I'm curious as to what 'appropriate input' qualifies as. The Liberals had valid input for the curriculum, despite the protests from social conservatives.

Which means the very same curriculum but different synonyms, phrases, and rearrangement of sentences to make it appear it is different. In other words, a waste of money.

But haven't you heard (as I have, from numerous people too ignorant to read the curriculum for themselves), the curriculum teaches butt-sex to kindergarteners! I'm sure Ford will go out there and claim to have rid it of all the butt-sex for kindergarteners references.

Another Beaverton classic...

Editorial by Kathleen Wynne
The votes have been counted, and you don’t want me in office anymore. I get it. And you know what? Good. You want Doug Ford in office? Well, good luck with that, assholes!

I’m sick and tired of dealing with your bad fucking attitude. All your whining and your judgement and your opinions about my haircut. You have no idea how much work I did for you. I gave you a $15 minimum wage. I gave you job growth. I gave you a competent sexual education curriculum in the hopes that the next generation will be able to competently operate their genitals. You’d think that would be enough for you Ontario, but nooooo.

It was never enough for you. I just tried to make things better, but I see now that that was my mistake. You don’t want things to be better. You want the moral high ground. You would rather live in a garbage fire of a province over your one dollar beers. I fucking get it. I hope you’re fucking happy now. Admit it. You don’t actually want Doug Ford. You just want to teach me a lesson for trying too hard, and for making changes, and for being a woman. No matter what Doug Ford does wrong, he’ll still manage to convince you it was my fault, and they’re just cleaning up my mess. And you’ll believe him. Why? Because you’re the mess, Ontario. You’re the fucking mess.

But you know what? Who cares? Not me. From now on, Kathleen Wynne is the premier of nobody but Kathleen Wynne. I’m free. I can finally, stop wearing these goddamn pantsuits. I’m going to dust off my leather jacket. I can finally be a raging queer without worrying what Ted the conservative in Sudbury thinks. Screw you, Ted. It was never about hydro prices, was it? You just hate the idea that I have sex with women. Well I do, Ted. Lots of it. And I’m goddamn good at it too.

Good Luck, Doug Ford. You won. You may think it will be different for you. I’m sure it will be, for a little while. Enjoy it while you can. Eventually they’ll forget about hating me, and then you’ll be eaten alive. They will bully you to within an inch of your sanity, and you’ll still have to get up and do a press conference with a smile on your face. Enjoy it, sucker. I’m done smiling.

If you need me, I’m going to go sit in my backyard, crack open a good bottle of shiraz and scream along to “Jagged Little Pill”.

For those that voted for me: thank you for your support. For those that didn’t, good fucking luck.

I'm wondering about the Green Belt, OMB.... and the TCDSB.

Like has happened with Trump in the US, many extreme changes can be challenged by the people and by cities in the courts and in municipal policies. While Trump has still been able to do a lot of damage, he's been considerably slowed down by resistance.

Some Trump policies were simply taken up by cities. When Trump pulled the US out of the Paris Accord, 200+ cities created their own commitments to following it. Ford has said he'll kill new renewable energy contracts. A progressive City Council could pick up the slack and require green energy be used in new developments or order a green fleet for transit. Ford can counter any of these municipal resistance moves but they'll slow him down while he fights them.

Allowing Green Belt development can be resisted. Changes to the OMB are well on their way and reversing them would go against court decisions already in place. Parents could challenge any drastic changes in the education curriculum. Hurting minorities with new policies or removing protections can be challenged.

It's easy to give people new rights. It's very difficult to take them away.

Nope it shows you how apathetic voters were, mention tax cut, they're on it like flies on cow plop, the buck a beer, and lowering hydro & gas prices. I understand the need for change, but in my eyes Ontario residents just handed Doug Ford their credit cards and not knowing what the hell they purchased. (NO fully costed platform)

Again, I ask, did you forget life with Wynne?

"valid input' from this guy, the deputy education minister under Wynne?

OH Ferfucksakes.

This trope, too, huh? Is all you do regurgitate bullshit talking points?

Are you completely incapable of reading it yourself?
Do you believe that hundreds of pages of teaching information were written by one guy?
Do you believe he edited the books?
Do you believe he typeset and laid out all the books himself?
Do you believe he oversaw all the printing?
Do you believe that no-one at the Queen's Printer for Ontario (in non-elected positions) was allowed to see the files? Including those charged with making the films, plates and running a press check?
Do you believe that even though he hid his paedophilia from every one of his family and friends, he'd openly add paedophilic information into a curriculum after knowingly being the *only* person working on it?
Do you believe that every single Liberal who saw it after it was printed was "in on it"?
Do you believe that not a single non-Liberal in the government saw it or red flagged any "conspicuous" information?

Because this is what you're telling me by pulling up this tired conspiracy theory BS.

Do you know how many parents, teachers and health professionals were involved in the creation of this curriculum?

I think I just lost any ounce of respect I had for you as an intelligent human being.
