newearthling, I have no interest in shaming any escorts. If Ford is indulging in such extracurricular activities without permission from his wife, whether still or again, then it's yet another strike against his 'all about his family' image that he claims. Yes, he's done worse things. Wrong is still wrong.

Yes, that is true. And we all know RoFo is a liar.
I guess the shaming comment was more about how pervy people's reactions were, the last time someone posted their pics on here.

It's unbelievable that in this day and age there are educated people who believe a drinking age of 21 makes any sense whatsoever.

Problems with alcohol are cultural in nature, and driving teenage drinking underground can only make matters worse.

Edit: just looked at MADD's reasoning. Brutal. They go on and on about traffic fatalities, but anyone with the sligthest bit of knowledge on the subject can tell you that the countries that perform best in keeping traffic fatalities down today also tend to have lower legal drinking ages. These guys have no scientific integrity whatsoever.

Those countries also tend to have more rigorous driver education systems, FWIW.

Yeah, she left him years ago (allegedly.) But they still pretend to be married, send out fake Christmas cards, and LH is used to introduce internet cat video festivals.....the people who enter politics seem so weird.

There is an underground of innuendo when it comes to some in the Cabinet.....nothing sourced, nothing verified...

So Di Giorgio, during the Armenian genocide discussion, says "the analogy in his mind, when he thinks of Armenian genocide, is Apartheid. With the Holocaust, there's no dispute about whether it happened, but with Apartheid, there is."

Who is he referring to? I know there are people who argue the Armenian genocide didn't happen (that it wasn't genocide) and those who argue that apartheid was not a bad thing, but I've never heard anyone yet claim that apartheid actually happened, given that it was, y'know, the name given to it by the government that instituted it and all.

I have no idea what he's talking about. Sometimes I can't believe how dumb a majority of the councilors are. Mammoliti in reference to the discussion said "There is nothing controversial about the Italians, except maybe me", obviously forgetting about Mussolini among other things.

It's Mammo speaking, I wouldn't bother trying to understand anything that idiot says. He makes Ford look smart, and that's hard to do.

Mayor Rob Ford and Budget Chief Frank Di Giorgio seem on the verge of another tickle fight. Ford grabbed his tie, he grabbed his arm #TOpoli

edit: I guess they made up after the Leafs snub.

How come Ford and driver are sitting higher than everyone else in the same row?

Clearly Ford has once again taken somebody's seat and this time is actually sitting on top of them!

LOL!!!! And I bet Jerry is recording everyone in the ACC in case someone dares to say something bad about his boss!

Would this debate still go to city council? Or did RoFo and his buddies on the Executive Committee kill it?

Toronto says no to proposal for recall legislation for councillors
Province still considering private members bill on same topic
York Guardian

Bad — or just unpopular — municipal politicians will be able to breathe more easily between elections, after Toronto’s executive committee deferred indefinitely a motion to ask for recall legislation.

The notice of motion was brought forward earlier this month by Scarborough councillors Chin Lee and Mike Del Grande.

Had it been approved, dissatisfied electors could pull a councillor or mayor out of office if they met fairly stringent criteria.

The plan would have required at least 25 per cent of total eligible voters, or 50 per cent of those who’d voted, to sign a petition asking for an election and submit it within 99 days. Proponents would have to cover three-quarters of the costs of the resulting byelection.

The provincial government is currently considering a private members bill looking at recall legislation for MPPs.

And also much lower car use with more emphasis on transit, walking, and biking. There's also lower social tolerance in many countries for driving after even light drinking. In Sweden for example if you've had even just one beer you simply don't drive, it's not socially acceptable like it is here.
