Significant rain today and tonight followed by strong winds on
Wednesday.

A developing disturbance originating from Colorado is in its infancy
stage and is slated to become a powerful storm tonight and Wednesday
as it heads for Lake Superior then northeastern Ontario.

A warm front associated with the storm will cross southern Ontario
tonight. Organized areas of rain will develop today ahead of the
front and persist tonight. The rain will be heavy at times
particularly in a swath from the southwest through Niagara. Rainfall
amounts of 30 mm are likely in a few locales, and may be even higher
where the odd thunderstorm occurs. Amounts will still be significant
farther north including Toronto but should remain just under warning
criteria.

The rain will be accompanied by mild temperatures which will rise to
plus 10 in most places tonight. A cold front will race across the
region Wednesday morning bringing strong westerly winds and a quick
end to the wet and mild weather. In fact, high winds are possible
with the potential for severe gusts to 90 km/h in some areas. A wind
warning may be issued as this situation develops.

Temperatures will plummet Wednesday accompanied by cold wind chill
values. Localized flurries will also develop in the afternoon.

City of Toronto continued

Strong winds early Wednesday along cold front.

This is a warning that damaging winds are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.



An intense Colorado low pressure system will strengthen as it sweeps across the Great Lakes late this evening and moves through central and northeastern Ontario by Wednesday morning. This system will bring periods of rain at times heavy to the above warned regions. Rainfall amounts are expected to increase the evening hours as a warm front associated with the system approaches. There is also a risk of a thunderstorm with this warm frontal system. In general a total rainfall amount of 25 to 35 millimetres are expected with the system before changing over to isolated flurries Wednesday morning. Locally higher amounts are possible due to thunderstorms.

Strong winds associated with the deepening low pressure system will be triggered by a fast moving cold front moving from west to east Wednesday. The cold front will arrive over western regions late overnight with average winds increasing to 60 km/h. Along the front winds will gust to 90 km/h. A few locations near Lake Huron, Niagara and along eastern Lake Ontario will gust near 100 km/h as well as over higher terrain. The cold front will move into eastern Ontario late in the morning. Note that temperatures will drop to below freezing behind the cold front.

Mixed rain and snow changing to snow Monday.

A deep low will pass south of the lower lakes Monday. An area of
significant rain associated with the low will develop over
southwestern Ontario this evening and over the Golden Horseshoe
overnight. The rain is expected to become mixed with snow over most
regions overnight.

This mixed bag of precipitation is then expected to change to all
snow over southwestern Ontario Monday morning and over south central
Ontario including Toronto Monday afternoon.

Temperatures are forecast to lie near or just above the freezing mark
most of the day Monday but will fall below zero by early evening.

Strong gusty northeasterly winds will develop tonight then gradually
shift to northerly on Monday.

Locales near the shores of the lower lakes can expect rainfall
amounts of 20 to 25 millimetres and snowfall amounts of about 5
centimetres. Places well inland will see about 10 to 15 millimetres
of rain and 10 to 15 centimetres of snow. Any southward shift in the
storm track could result in higher snowfall totals for the regions.

Additional information may be found by consulting the latest public
forecast. Please also note that a snowfall warning has been issued
for locales in a band extending from southern Lake Huron to lake
Simcoe.

A wind-driven and soaking rain on tap today..

A large and strong low pressure system originally from Texas
Has spread an area of rain into southern Ontario with the leading
edge from Toronto to Kincardine early this morning. As the low moves
northeast into lower Michigan this afternoon rain will spread into
remaining regions this morning.

A general rainfall of 15 to 25 mm is likely by this evening across
much of southern Ontario and parts of eastern Ontario. The rain will
be occasionally heavy at times resulting in local rainfall amounts
Of 25 to 40 millimetres in some locales. Brisk easterly winds will
accompany the rain.

The rain will taper off to scattered showers over southwestern
Ontario by this afternoon and over areas near the Golden Horseshoe
this evening.

The winds are insane. I lost two umbrellas walking to, and from Mt. Sinai Hospital this morning
The rain is good though for grass & gardens. Lots of salt remains on many sidewalks, hopefully this rain will wash the last of that away too.

Spring showers and thunderstorms Friday...And summer-like conditions
Saturday.

A surge of warm air combined with moisture from the south will give
isolated showers and thunderstorms beginning Friday morning. Some of
the storms could become stronger in the afternoon giving heavier
showers gusty winds and hail. The storms will move from west to east
and dissipate later in the evening.

Following the warm frontal passage an extended warming trend will
begin with very warm temperatures across the regions Saturday and
daytime highs in the upper twenties.

Severe thunderstorm watch for
City of Toronto issued

A line of severe thunderstorms with gusts to 100 km/h is moving over southwestern Ontario. This line will possibly effect most of southern Ontario regions.

This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.
