^I still refuse to use microwave ovens. I love the idea of fast cooking, but something tells me we need another hundred years of research to be 100% certain. After all, researchers are supported by lobbyists....

I don't use microwaves that often myself. I tend to use them at work to hear up food because it's the only way to do this.

A good friend of mine recently died from brain cancer: Time from diagnosis to death: 2 months. She was always using her cellphone. I would stay the hell away from that substation, just as I stay the the hell away from cell phones.

You won't find a cell phone in my pocket.

The whole thing about whether this or that causes cancer is one issue. But because this is UT, a construction forum, you need to think of the purchase from an investment point of view. You may not believe that the substation will cause any damage. However, there are many others that do (as evident from some UT forumers). So when it comes time to sell, your market of buyers will be typically smaller. All I'm saying is why take the risk (both health-wise and investment-wise)? It's not as if this is the only condo available in downtown. There are only like 200 others...

Back on topic please... which is to say okay discussing the hydro substation beside the site... but who cares who has a mobile phone and who doesn't... at least in this thread. And Australian YouTube videos? Please, posts from serious countries only.

yah, that is sweet for someone who has some kinky stuff they want to store in the back... :) or play hide & seek... kinda cool, kinda odd... if only they made it a revolving hidden door or something which looks like a wall such that it can become a hidden room... and 10 years from now if the floor plan is forgotten, you may find some treasure...

I wonder who owns the small adjacent parking lot, and what their thinking was in presumably refusing to sell. Seems unlikely anyone could shoehorn another development onto that site.

Maybe they're lease is not up with the city to sell?
Also, Museum House looks like it would fit there.
