How much of that facade can be salvaged? Regardless, anything to break up the scale at street level is good.
 
Some photos from May 2. The tower is sitting on steel beams. Looks like it's made of wood. Some major footings had been dug up which left holes which had to be back filled to enable shoring (I think). There's a real mix of masonry keeping the old building together. It's difficult to tell what can be salvaged.

So you won't notice much of that Coroners Courts bldg. when Halo and the future affordable housing project behind it are developed:cool:

The study determined that two residential towers in the range of 40 to 50 storeys would be the most appropriate development scenario for the
site, yielding approximately 800-900 residential units, and 60,000 m2 (645, 835 ft2) to 72,000 m2 (775, 000 ft2) of residential GFA.
