Yes there's too much grey. Oh, and I wish it was taller!

The two projects wouldn't have much to do with each other construction-wise. Excavation is a completely different creature from what's going on at 300 Front currently.

So the nice hoarding being used at 1 Bloor E and the Ryerson building at Yonge and Gould is not being used anymore? Do developers not have to use it if they don't want to? Too bad, it's nicer than this style.

According to the City of Toronto's application status web site, the status of the Shoring Permit application for 10 York Street is, as of December 9:

Application: Partial Permit Status: Under Review

Location: 130 HARBOUR ST TORONTO ON

Application#: 13 195531 SHO 00 PP Accepted Date: Jun 27, 2013

Project: Mixed Use/Res w Non Res Partial Permit - Shoring

Description: Part Permit - Proposal to construct a 69 sty + mechanical condo building with 5 levels of below grade parking, 694 residential units, and commercial.

New Address - 10 York St (additional addresses 120, 130 Harbour Street and 10 York Street).

69 stories plus mechanical- Did this one grow under our radar at the committee of adjustments? It was approved at 65 and the planners were very adamant it should not be any taller.

On another note, I have been transferred to NYC. Living her once again confirms my belief that planners' concerns over height and density are a bunch of baloney. What matters is infrastructure. And when demand starts to exceed capacity, only then do the capital improvements dollars follow: Second Avenue Subway, East Side Access, Harold Congestion Relief Project, Fulton Hub, etc..,
