Scotiabank Arena probably has another 25 years left. After that, it should be completely rebuilt.

They are going award the Tender in 2024. Which means construction wont even start till 2025. Given Toronto's track record, I dont think Construction will even end till 2028 at the earliest. Also the new South Concourse, wont finish in 2026. Probably 2030. So another 7 years of construction at...

I think Apple can come back. Now the project is managed by someone who has more experience and there is a firm date of completion in March 2025. That is only 16 months away.

Given the management change, I think Apple might come back. This will give confidence to Apple that the project is now being managed by the same people who built the Well. Also the space at the floor was specifically designed for Apple.

They should also work on the exterior of Scotiabank Arena, especially the Maple Leaf Square aka Jurassic Park. Maybe create a Freemont Experience type structure which covers that area from the elements and allows programmable visuals to be broadcasted and maybe pedestrianize that whole street...

Toronto needs housing badly. This will also create some much needed green space in the downtown core. There will be protracted legal fights that will go on for years and re-designed based on feedback. I don't see this starting construction until 2030 and all three phases being complete till 2045.

Property values only go up especially in Toronto. Once this is finished and it becomes an Icon in Toronto, its potential market value will be well north of $2B. Stuff like this happens all the time.

A couple of reasons of the building boom in Toronto is the zoning laws which leaves a small parcel land to be developed as high rises so there is intense concentration of high rises in those areas. Second is the growing population of Toronto due to immigration which means there is always more...

New York skyline will be hard for Toronto to beat. We should surpass Chicago in about 10 years or so or 2035. New York is a different beast. Probably take us till 2100 to do so but even then, New York skyline will still be more iconic. I am happy with Toronto being 2nd to New York in North America.

Whats the hold up? No Shadow issues that I know of and it's at the tip of Yonge Street...so makes an impressive mark having the tallest building of Canada located at the beginning of Yonge Street. Let's make this tall.
